Barkat AI Automation ("we", "us"), Ranchi, Jharkhand, operates VakilAI Pro. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and other applicable Indian law.
1. Data We Collect

Payment card/UPI details are processed directly by Razorpay and are never stored on our servers.
2. How We Use Data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To process payments and issue GST invoices.
- To respond to support requests.
- To send service notices and, with your consent, product updates (you can opt out anytime).
- To detect abuse and secure the platform.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your case content to train AI models. Content sent to our AI provider is processed transiently to generate your draft and is subject to contractual confidentiality.
3. Legal Basis & Consent
We process personal data on the basis of your consent given at signup and for legitimate uses connected with providing the Service you request, as permitted under the DPDP Act. You may withdraw consent by deleting your account, subject to legal retention requirements.
4. Storage & Security
- Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with servers located in India.
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis; administrative access is logged.
5. Sharing
We share data only with: (a) payment processor (Razorpay) for billing; (b) cloud hosting and AI infrastructure providers strictly to run the Service; (c) authorities where required by law. Each processor is bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
6. Retention & Deletion
- Account and content data are retained while your account is active.
- On account deletion, content is deleted within 30 days, except billing records retained for tax/legal compliance (up to 8 years as required by law).
- You may export your drafts before deletion.
7. Your Rights (DPDP Act, 2023)
- Access: request a summary of your personal data we hold.
- Correction & erasure: request correction of inaccurate data or deletion of your data.
- Grievance redressal: raise a complaint with us; if unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nomination: nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
To exercise any right, email support@barkataiautomation.in with the subject "Data Request". We respond within 15 days.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login sessions and basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand feature usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
9. Children
The Service is intended for legal professionals and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data.
10. Changes
We will notify material changes to this policy by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
